Adopt-A-Precinct
In response to the challenge to have ample poll workers to ensure the integrity of the elections process, The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Office has created the “Adopt-A-Precinct Program.” This initiative encourages non-profit organizations to participate as Poll Workers for the General Election on November 3rd while raising money for a worthy cause.
For each “team” of 7-10 Poll Workers we put together, Leadership Palm Beach County may receive up to $2,240. This represents the cumulative compensation that may be paid to the various poll worker positions at a given precinct. The more polling locations we can cover, the more funds we can raise for LPBC.
In addition to the fundraising benefit for Leadership Palm Beach County, our participation in the Adopt-A-Precinct Program also provides us:
- A meaningful civic engagement initiative that our entire alumni organization may participate in.
- An opportunity to connect with alumni and friends (with proper social distance protocols and PPE).
- A great opportunity to learn by experience in a teamwork environment.
- Perhaps some friendly class year competition.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be a mandatory training session provided by the PBC Supervisor of Elections Office in addition to an online orientation. While the training will only take a few hours, it is required to serve as there are different positions and responsibilities at the polling locations.
