Lunch & Learn: Mental Health in our Community, Workplace and Family
Florida ranks 49th in per capita mental health funding. In Palm Beach County, we can see how a lack of resources increases our homeless population, strains our law enforcement, and turns our jails into defacto mental hospitals. With one in four people experiencing a mental health disorder in a given year, we also see how mental illness affects us personally at home and at work.
Learn about our community’s efforts to serve those in need, reduce the stigma of mental illness, and how to improve your own mental wellness through a new community-wide initiative, Train the Brain.
